Welcome to a virtual field trip to the Tham Erawan (Tham means cave in Thai), Loei, northeast Thailand. The examined outcrop is located in the Tham Erawan Temple. Click on the Area Map menu below for an overview of the area.
This field trip is designed for geology students to observe limestone outcrop within Tham Erawan (see Geological Background for details). The assignment allows students to better understand the attitude of limestone and its key features etc.
